These items are antique/old/used and character marks can be seen due to the age and previous use. Items are purchased as seen on the photographs. We fully restore each piece, but we do not over-restore or try to make new. Over-restoring can damage the natural patina of the wood that has built up over many years. We make every endeavour to point out if there are any blemishes that may detract from the enjoyment, but natural wear and tear will always add to the charm of the piece. We do not purchase any piece with signs of woodworm and we fully treat every piece we stock. We guarantee that no live woodworm is present and on any rare occasion when restoring we encounter woodworm holes the affected wood will be replaced.
If you would like a more in depth condition report, please contact us.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange installation. Most units are reasonably easy to install. This usually consists of drilling holes for the waste pipe and water feeds. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that any products bought are suitable and can be installed where required. We cannot accept any responsibility if any product purchased from us cannot be installed/fitted due to unsuitability. We will be available to answer any technical questions that may arise due to installation/fitting of our products.
Holes for taps/pipes will be pre-drilled unless otherwise stated by us.
We will not pre-drill wooden worktops, unless a request is received from the purchaser. This is a relatively easy operation and will usually require either a 25mm or 35mm drill/hole cutter. We will be available to advise on any technical questions that may arise due to installation/fitting of our products.
Not all taps sold by a third party will be suitable for use with our products. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the suitability of taps before purchase. We do not accept any responsibility for taps purchased that will not fit our products. We will be available to advise on tap purchases and answer any technical questions that may arise due to installation/fitting of our products.
All mirrors should be secured on to a sound wall. We can take no responsibility for the quality of the installation and/or the suitability of the wall to which the mirror may be fixed. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the mirror is installed in a safe and secure way. We will be available to advise on any technical questions that may arise due to installation/fitting of our products.

Appreciation and Understanding of Natural Marbles and Granites
When purchasing Natural Marbles, Granites, Slate and Stone, it must be appreciated that these materials are in most cases over 300 million years old, and from part of this world that has in the past constantly moved, by the continents and Seas changing places, by earth movement, earthquakes and volcanic eruption.
Therefore, in the course of developing a quarry, considerable variation may occur in the colouration and veining of the Marble/Granite/Slate/Stone extracted. For the above reasons, uniformity of appearance should not be expected. Each type/piece of marble is unique and each type of marble has different characteristics, no two pieces of marble can ever be exactly the same.
Some marbles and stone can even have some fossilised remains of shells, fish and animals etc.
Marble, Granite, Slate and Stone are sold throughout the world as being inherently unsound and this can vary from hairline cracks in some types, to extensive brecciations in others. It is commonplace to stop, cramp and fill these materials to make good, strengthen and reinforce. Such repairs should therefore be regarded as commonplace and not treated as defective.
Marble, Slate and Stone are porous materials even when the surface is polished, therefore, care and respect should be administered with wine, cigarettes, coke, acid or alkaline products, fruit, oil, soap, toothpaste, make-up etc, which can stain or remove the polish from the materials. Always wipe away immediately with a clean damp cloth. Granite is extremely hard and is not easily marked or damaged.
The Company shall in no circumstances be under any liability for:
(a) losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed; or
(b) losses that were not caused by any breach on the part of the Company; or

prejudice to the foregoing the Company's liability for any loss or damage caused to You shall be limited to the invoice value of the goods).
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall operate to exclude or restrict the Company's liability for: death or personal injury resulting from negligence; breach of the obligations arising from section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979; or fraud or deceit. This does not affect Your statutory rights.
Health & Safety
In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Consumer Protection Act 1987 the Company confirms that the goods it supplies do not present a hazard to health and safety when used properly in accordance with the manufacturers instructions for the purpose for which they are designed and when You take reasonable and normal precautions in their use.
It must be remembered that these pieces are very heavy and it may take up to 6 persons to carry the item(s) from delivery to destination. Great care must be taken when lifting heavy goods and all persons should be fit, healthy and capable of the task. The Company will not be liable for any accident or injury arising from the carriage or delivery of the goods.
